I have just started picking after i got my picks a few weeks ago I have this lock i just got from the store. its a lockwood not sure what model but its a knob. Well i just cant seem to pick it looking for tips. Feels like the pin gets stuck, is that a spool pin? if so how to pick it.

it could be a Lockwood 530 entrance set, if you have the backset it should be stamped on that, the Lockwood cylinders have a very small tolerance which would make it harder to pick, but the 530 cylinders are really easy to pull apart so you can try taking some of the pins out to make it easier, but to learn with you will be better of getting another lock, Whitco profile cylinders (the screen door ones) are fairly easy to pick and are also cheap to buy, or you could also buy a cheap entrance set from somewhere like bunnings
