1. your image is 5000 too big. the limits is 500 wide by 80 tall. not 1024x768

2. its alsmost guaranteed that you are putting too much pressure on the tension wrench if this is happening on all of your locks. it may also be the way you have the tension wrench in the lock. can you take a photo of the keyway, with the pick in the lock, and the wrench in the keyway? If your finger is turning white, then you're putting too much pressure on the tension wrench. it should be no more pressure than it takes to turn the key with 2 fingers. try that to get a feel for it.

good luck, and please reduce your ninja action figure thing. thank you

What markings are on the lock? Who makes the lock? These are the questions you should ask yourself before posting. At the very least give a detailed description of it's appearance. "Normal padlock", front door lock, apartment lock, car lock, etc. are all too vague to be helpful. It's like if someone said, "I saw a white guy on TV this week. Who is he?"

I see squelchtone just posted about the lifesize ninja, so in place of my rant I'll just post this link you will want to read http://www.lockpicking101.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=715

it could be that it is just a really cheap lock and theres not much you can do about it....

...else you could try a small drop of lubrication
