what should i be searching to find good locks on eBay? i was just searching around to find stuff... searching medeco/yale/best cant really find anything. although i know i cant pick any of those locks, i was just seeing what showed up =) but if its cheap enough i'd buy one to try. i could only find antique/vintage yale padlocks and 1 yale cylinder. best locks i found practically nothing, and medeco i only found the m3 locks. am i missing a keyword here?

Wow... those are some HARDCORE locks. Mean bitting, too, and they key looks really heavily warded, judging by the keys. Nice find!

I meant that the keyway looks heavily warded, judging by the key. Obviously the key is warded since the picture is of a key. Anyway, I'd love to see a few more pics of those S&Gs if you've got any...

I have good luck searching with "locks" in the category "Business & Industrial" otherwise you get all the yard sale collectible crap.
Then I sort by price with the lowest first.
Sometimes there is good stuff if you search "locksmith".

Try "used" items only.

Heh, I was watching that auction. So that was you that one, eh? I didn't actually bid, but I was curious to see what the lot went for. Not a bad deal, I expected it would go somewhat higher...

I don't know if you are aware of this, but eBay has been having a BIG problem for a long while now with their searches.
If you searched for say "lock" and "Yale", you will see one lot of results, but if you tick the box to search title AND description, you will see different results, often without the items you saw when you searched only in the titles.
Their forums are full of LOTS of angry posts by sellers and I'm just wondering if this could be why some can find interesting locks with no problems, while others cannot find any.
I know it caused me a few problems, until I found put what was going on. eBay say they are trying to sort out the error, but there are lots of conspiracy theories posts about it being eBay's way of punishing those sellers who refuse to join their Powerseller program.
