mobile key rack?

mobile key rack?

so I've searched high and low looking for a mobile key rack by that i mean, something to hold all my blanks that can go from the house to my car, something compact... any ideas?

I'm pretty sure that there was a post on here ages ago with a key box which would hold your key blanks, but it was expensive, I will try find it when I have a bit more time.

i was thinking maybe one of those rollup parts bins... i think they make one with slots similar to the size of a key blank, but i havent been able to find those either...

any one use a tackle box with plano boxes??? now that i look at some it seems like a great idea, but ive never herd of anyone using them. So maybe there's a reason for that... ?

you could always have one custom made a a local welding shop, just make a up a drawing of what you want and take it to them for a quote

I use what Wal-Mart calls stackable tackle boxes. I don't know if they still carry them as I picked these up about a year and a half ago. These currently have 30 pounds + plus of keys each so they will hold the weight.

yupp thats what i was pretty much looking for... i wonder if theres a better way to put the keys in there... maybe take the same size cutouts of pegboard install hooks and glue into the bottom of a plano box...

OSH also has similar products in the event Wal Mart no longer does. They also have the individual cases if the stackable is too bulky.

I found that the stackables weren't big enough to hold lock cylinders so I got the larger individuals, but just for keys either should do fine. They usually have about 5-10 different cases, so I'm sure you could find one that works for you.
