I've had a master 575 for sometime now and its one of those that for awhile I'll pick it consistently with out thinking about it, and then go through times where I can't pick it for the life of me.
As cpdungeon said, there are spool pins. If you are real new, this may be much, but if you have some experience, it's not a bad lock to learn spool pins. It has a real smooth feel to it when its picked and the spool pins are very obvious when there is a false set and you are picking them. With this its important to remember you may have to allow previously set pins to fall back down while you are alternating between setting these spool pins and then go back and reset them. With mine, the last pin before it is unlocked needs only needs a tiny nick with the hook to set it and the lock is open. Any more than that and it won't work. And this is after setting two spool pins.
I also use top tension on the keyway and a southord medium or slimline hook for this.
