What is in the advanced section?

I understand the prerequisites for being granted access to the advanced section, but what's there? What kind of topics are worthy of being promoted to advanced? Can we have a peek behind the curtain?

If you look at the index page, you get an idea of what is there. The posts are as varied as they are in the non-advanced sections.

If the only reason you are here is to get access to the "advanced" area, you might be disappointed.

However, if you really like to learn about locks, then "40 posts and apply" is really a small price to pay for all the knowledge and help you can get from this site and its members.

Soo much information here..

Really it is very much the same stuff as is in the rest of the forum, only it applies to high security locks like ACE and sidebar locks and safes and autos and whatnot.

Mostly the topics are either business related (car opening, safe opening), theoretical/practical discussion about picking high security locks, some tool developement talks and then general discussion. Mostly the area is quite quiet, but there is always something to look for :)

Cool thanks.
My goal in life isn't to get to the advanced section. It'd be cool to earn that, but I enjoy picking as a new skill and challenging myself in that regard. Other than more advanced locks, I couldn't imagine other different things that could be picked. Curiosity killed the cat...

Thanks

Theres not much happening there, mostly tumbleweeds and dust blowing around. Occasionally someone posts something, so I check it fairly often.
