:|. When I tried picking it. The lock rotates towards the unlock position. Pins drop in 180degs possi. And when I push the pins up again. it rotates another 180degs and the same thing happens. But the lock stays locked.. And when I continue, I get the same result. It's just like going around in circles.. And don't worry about being negative..

Loose or missing tail piece, cam, or whatever. Locks do get disconnected, and then it gets interesting.

It's clear that I can't say anything productive here, and that's where I'm leaving it.

OK. When you say the lock stays locked. Do you mean the bolt won't retract ? The bolt part that slides into the door frame.
This is telling me the part of the lock that connects to the bolt is damaged or broken or bent or missing. So the bolt part won't move.

If you mean that the lock re-locks itself as it passes the 360 degree mark, this is normal, the top pins are pushed back into the plug by the springs.

Not really sure what you mean by "the lock stays locked".

In some locks the very tip of the key is what really moves the boltwork or actuates the cam, so only picking the lock won't open it.

Is what you're talking about Jaakko similar to the door locks that have the little hole in the center of the knob that allows you to open the door if you stick a small nail or something like that into the hole, push in a metal piece inside the lock, and then turn the handle?
