Master Lock

I found an easy old master lock to pick, I was thinking it was like a master #1 but when I looked at the bottome of the lock it say's (3up) what does this mean, was this an older series or what?

No.3 User Pinnable.

the bottom kinda stick out a little bit, its not an older series, they still make them. The pins inside are pre-scored and if you already have a master padlock and key and you'd like another padlock that works on that key, you stick the key into your new 3UP padlock, smack it with a hammer and it breaks the pins inside so they match the key you inserted. Now the padlock can be turned and unlocked with that key.

no, the cylinder doesn't stick out, per say, it actually looks like any other master, just a little bit different of a cover on the bottom that covers the cylinder, a cool lock, I didn't know until now that master made a lock with the scored pins, I know of others, but the master is a first for me.
