Hi,
I've just bought a cut away lock on the net. It's come with some anti-pick pins which you can interchange to make it harder. On a normal 5-pin lock, how many of the pins would be anti-pick? Thanks in advance for your help.

I'd say 3 but for a 5 pin the answer may well be 2, but it depends on the lock.
Either way, the first pin, closest to the front wont be a security pin in my experience.

Yeah, 2-3 spool/mushroom for most locks. If they are serrated they might be in all chambers, like the small American cylinders.

If you have the extra pins though after you get good at picking the lock with 2 or 3 security pins you should work your way up to having them all being security pins. You will probably never see this in the field but its dang good practice!
