I've been watching and reading tons of stuff on lock picking on the web. I've seen I don't know how many videos of people making lock picks out of hack saw blades. I was just wondering if any one had tryed doin it out of those metal fingernail files, you know the ones with the handles on the end and the other end is normaly pointed. This place is great I just picked my first lock the other day which was a 4 pin Master padlock. This stuff is addicting.
The research I have found out so far with the nail file is that the material put on the file will easily come off with the drum sanding attatchment on a dremel. As far as breaking I think not you can bend them to a 90 and they bend right back. I haven't had the chance to grind one out yet. I'll keep you guys updated.
This lock could probably be picked with a paper clip shaped as the tools shown in the video. You could probably try using paper clips with rubber bands to try attach more than one paper clip to get the required shape.
