Lock picks and Australia

Postby Ruffian » 10 Oct 2009 19:39

I am new to these forums and have been doing some reading, however I have not come across the exact information I'm after. Firstly, I would like to know where/if it is possible to purchase a lock picking set (either here in Australia or online, and have it shipped to Australia). I was reading the thread Australian Law and it was suggested that Deal Extreme, LockPickTools.com or LockPickShop.com would be the best bet.

However, being new and not knowing much on the topic, if i was to purchase a set from say LockPickShop.com, what would be a decent set to start with?

If anyone can offer any additional information, it would be appreciated.

I got a pack of locks and picks sent out from America not long ago. The Customs declaration sticker was labelled as containing locks. Customs never opened the package. It only took a few days to get here too.

You could ask your local locksmith to supply you with some gear.
