There are a few of those blanks at my work. On an old key board in the back.
When I asked about them I remember being told that they went to old Chrysler vehicles. The keyway is offset from the dust cover. Which explains the weird bend in the blank. I guess it was a simple way of preventing someone from looking into the lock. But that probably made it harder to use the keys. Which would likely explain why they weren't used for a long period of time.
I've never seen a lock that used them though. I am curious to see one, if anyone happens to have one. Please take pictures. And if they aren't Chrysler locks/keys, please correct me.
