Buying pins

Postby jrogers » 19 Sep 2009 16:24

I'd like to get a general assortment of pins, both regular and security pins in varying sizes; is there any site that sells pins?

some times stuff like that shows up on ebay,

I just got a mini pin kit for schlage on ebay, it had about 12 to 20 of each size and a few cylinders and random keys just to practice pinning to each key. and a few security pins for the top

man sometimes ebay is great... sometimes

LA... PPPBBBBBBHHHHTTTTT!!!!!

Seriously though... All I've ever seen on ebay (and elsewhere ) when I've personally looked are HUGE kits. which is why I was also going to ask. Well, other than kwikset single shot repining kits, but really, what's the point in that? I was just happy to find out that you'd actually spotted smaller kits on ebay.

i punched in "locksmith" in an ebay search just yesterday and it has a few smallish kits, thye came in bags instead of the actual pinning kit tray thing

just keep an eye out and eventually the one you want will show up, I mean unlisted found one for abloy.. thats cool.

the only "pins" Ive seen for abloys so far are from those guys who have taken apart a ton of abloys ad kept the discs lol

You can always try the BST as well, or you can put up a WTB. I've seen pinning kits and pins up from time to time and I actually have some pins up for sale at the moment (couldn't resist plugging my thread :p).

I eventually found some "universal" spools on ebay! We'll see just how universal they are. Should be fun though.

I don't understand, whats the difference between .003 and .005. I'm assuming this is a measurement?

Thanks

I think its the difference in steps the pins go up in, the .005 oes up in steps of .005 and obviously the .003 go up in steps of .003
