High end automotive / transponder

Now i'm really confused.
My last post got closed due to being "considered advanced". I wasn't asking "how" to use the gear, I was asking peoples oppinions of it.
I read that i'm supposed to have 40 posts and be here for two months before being invited to the "advanced users" section.
This is what I do for a job, for 15 years, on 2 different continents.
What sort of questions did you think I was going to be asking...?

Transponder technology discussion is deemed an advanced area, in this forum and as such doesnt really belong in the general forum.

There are multiple trade related sites that have detailed information that you are looking for.

This forum is primarily dedicated to the sport and hobby of picking locks. Not making keys to cars etc.

(one last piece of advice - it is not good form to revisit a topic that has been closed by a mod.)

Transponder technology is deemed advanced?
Lucky for me I didn't get onto the subject of Kaba Expert manipulation then, somebody's head may have exploded!
Thank you for taking the time to explain this though globallockytoo.
I wish you the best in all things locksmithy!

Yes, it IS deemed advanced material.

I am pretty sure I was very direct and clear with my post. If you take the time to review the site rules, I am sure you will agree with them as a professional locksmith.

I than invite you to stick around if you wish, and still participate in the forums. When the time comes where you can apply for advanced, apply, and I am sure you will be approved, if you follow the site rules.

Cheers.

Jaxxon,

If you stick around long enough (and take your hand off it  ), you'll find that this forum is quite interesting and supportive of the trade.

The opportunity here, to interact with the consumer and the hobbiest, is perhaps the unknown quantity that many other professional "restrictive" forums are lacking.

I think this site strives to debunk the "Security By Obscurity" myth. By openly communicating with the general public as well as the hobbiest community, the trade can benefit greatly.

If you choose to stick your head on the mud, so be it. Why not go against the conformists and embrace this community, learning how and why they are interested in things and thereby figuring out the suitable mix of products and services you can add to your inventory in your own business?

And this site has it's own rules and regulations.

Most professional locksmith sites like ClearStar or KeyPro can usually verify the legitimacy of an applicant to know if he or she is truly a locksmith or actually works in the security industry before being allowed to join to prevent sensitive information from getting into the wrong hands. This site cannot do that for the general open forums.

So in our effort to keep advanced and sensitive info from being used against the general public by criminal elements that may be paying a visit here, we restrict access to info like safe opening and most automotive related subjects to the advanced section and allow only those who have proven themselves and their character through the quality of their posts (not just volume) and positive and upbuilding participation.

It's understandable that most locksmiths can become irritated or sometimes even furious and offended that they are not given special treatment and access because of their years of experience in the security field but this is how we run things here. And even well known experts in the locksport community like Barry Wells are often denied access to professional locksmith forums despite the wealth of knowledge and expertise they have in security hardware so this kind of "treatment" works both ways.
If a lock is a puzzle, then its key is the complete picture
