Safe deposit key material

I hope it's ok to post this here and not considered advanced material, so anyways...

I got a couple questions that's been bugging me for a while. Is it possible to cut a BRASS safe deposit box key with the Lishi clipper with the orange handle like this one? http://ukbumpkeys.com/product_Lishi-Key ... _index.php

My second question is where can you get a brass safe deposit key? Is there such a thing? I'm totally sure I've seen it before somewhere but all I can find now are either steel or nickle silver. The later material I'm not too sure can be clipped out with the Lishi tool without stressing it out and causing it to break.

Without knowing too much about that particular hand tool, I would say it can not cut flat keys.

When cutting flat keys a regular key cutter must be swapped out for a slotter cutter of the right thickness which cuts straight deep cuts for the specific lock you’re cutting a key for.

Brass blanks are still available in North America, I'm not sure of their availability in other countries.

Many safe deposit blanks are quite thick as well.

No such thing as brass safe deposit lock keyblanks, they are all nickel silver, which is considerably harder than brass. Brass blanks would not hold up very long on them.
