I keep false setting

Postby pepsivanilla93 » 6 May 2010 17:27

I have my practice cylinder with two pins in it and everytime I set the first pin the second false sets and I have to release a little tension. How can I prevent that from happening? Keep in mind I've tried using ultralight tension with no avail

you're question is kind of confusing. if you have two pins in the lock and when you set the first pin you get a false set would mean that the secon pin is a spool and the plug would turn a small amount. if thats the case then you would need to ease on the tension and lift the second pin. it will give counter rotation untill the pin is set. i don't think this is the case though. i seems that you're OVER SETTING the first or both pins. that means that you are lifting the key pin past the sheer line.

false set is halfway open unless your lower pins are serrated

thanks I believe I fixed my problem. Whenever I realease a slight tension the key pin falls yet the driver remains set. I'll just have to control how much pressure I push up with
