I was about to say the same.
Get rid of the ERA Fortress lock that you have. A Union Strongbolt is exactly the same size (no woodwork to do) and a far better lock (quality wise).
Why should you have to QC the lock yourself (as the installer) surely it should come out the box ready to go in the door.
If you bought a lock from say B&Q to do a DIY job, you wouldn't know that you had to check the lock for flaws.
Poor products from ERA is what it amounts to.
