Lock Collection Help

Postby SjoerdW » 23 Oct 2010 7:45

Hello,

First of all, I am from the Netherlands so my english might be a bit off sometimes.
I came to this site because I couldn't find any dutch lockpicking forums.

I recently got a collection of padlocks from my grandmother.
My grandfather passed away about 10 years ago and she is moving to a nursing home and therefor has no more room to keep them. Since no-one ells in the family is into lockpicking/collecting we have decided to try and sell them.

However, knowing nothing about these things I need some help with selling them. (I dont know the price etc)
It is a Collection with about 100-200 locks, all of them are padlocks.
I can make photo's of all of them (and maybe give additional information on the lock, like brand) if someone wants to value them.

So if anyone could give me advice that would be greatly appriciated.

Thanks in advance,

Sjoerd Werkhoven

If you contact Barry Wels or Han Fey from http://www.TOOOL.nl they may be able to meet with you and tell you some prices, they are experts in locks and lock picking.

Barry has a blog at http://www.blackbag.nl

Hope that saves you some time from taking all those photographs,

Hi and welcome,

If you could get some pictures of the locks we can try help by first letting you know what locks you have in the collection and second what they might be worth. Also any info on the locks would help too, brand names and any history for them.

After you price the locks, there is a section on this site where you could easily sell them, especially if they are rare/old/high security locks.
