Best Brand master key???

Postby imzack » 22 Jan 2011 22:41

Ok, so there is a room on our floor that the school locked since no one is using it(im currently in college). We are attempting to get it open it for a lobby room...

anyways we have compared our keys and all of our keys are very simialar. i didnt know if there was a way to make a master key, and what it possible could look like, i know that they are using best cylinders and our keys have a J stamped on all of them and i think they are for 6 pin locks... is there a guide or more information out there for these keys?

thanks

The answer is simple. contact your school as ask them if you can use it.

Trying to open it without permission is not the way to go about doing it.

yea, already did... but is there a way out there to possible open it up, i know you can pick it, but i didnt know if there is a key, since many of our look very similar, the 1st threee pins are the same alignment, its the last pins that change. since i know some of the numbers on the key, i didnt know if there was a way to kind of figure out what the master key might look like... if not we can just attempt to pick the lock...

Again the answer is simple.. don't pick a lock that is not yours (and by extension do not have permission to pick).. this is not the site if you are trying to get past a lock the someone has specifically put there to keep you out.

Man, if I were you I'd spend less time trying to break into a room on campus and start paying more attention to the English lectures on that same campus.
