Need help with Yale padlock Y125/40

Postby Flors » 30 Jan 2011 9:17

Good day to everybody,

i will get right down to business

i started recently with lockpicking so i bought a picking set and a cheap brandless cilinder lock.
The lock I beated fairly quick, and I think ive opened it so many times know that the springs gone
bad.

so i hopped on my bicycle and went to the department store. looking for a good lock to practice on.
first i had a look ad cilinder locks like the one we have at the backdoor, when i found out is was about a
100 € i went to take a look at the padlocks. my eye fell on a studded padlock from the brand yale
its was about 10€

so i went home trying to pick it right away. my first opening took me about 20 minutes
i opened it 3 times after that. but now im having a problem because i cant seemt to open it
again. im quite sure its my skill and not the lock wich is broke.
and the key will still open the lock like normal

This is the discription of the lock

its a fairly "fat" padlock with studs on the bottom and on the upper side there is a rubber band
around the housing that states: Yale and Y125/40

im also quite sure that the first pin is a security pin because if that one sets it turns but just a bit.
ive tried about anything now and im quite in need of help.

Thanks in advance
