Have combination but safe wont open

Dear pickers, help and old lady, I inherited this small safe from my in-laws. it's a "Eagle Lock Company" safe, yes. older than me. I have the combination numbers and never had a problem before, last time I opened it was about 2 years ago.
I have the combination numbers in the original yellow cardboard but the darn thing doesn't want to open...Help:{

Unfortunately we do not discuss safes, or safe opening in the public forum. If we did, then by helping you or anyone else with a safe problem, we would inadvertently be providing answers and instructions for people who can google this site and learn things for ill gain.

I'm sure there's a nice locksmith shop somewhere near you in Illinois, who would be more than happy to provide you with the dialing order for your safe. Make sure you dont just call the first AAAA Locksmith you see in the phone book, go to a real locksmith shop who actually sells and services safes.

Your safe dialing order will be different if it is a 4 or 3 digit combination, or even if you are dialing it correctly, something may have become stuck over the years.
