Hi i have the ingersoll os711.12 padlock i sold one of these on ebay but the guy i sold it to said it was fake because it did not have the trade mark sign (the letter R in a circle) My padlock came from the M.O.D and i know it is genuine but this idiot is saying he is going to get trading standards on to me.Does anyone know when they started putting the TM on the padlocks ? I have seen alot of images on the web and they dont have the TM on them either. One guy at Ingersoll told me that he has never heard of a fake in his 30 years.
Any information would be welcomed
Thanks

I would find this lock on the official website if possible, then email him the link telling him to look it over carefully. Tell him to see if there is a TM on any of those official pictures.

He might be an "idiot", maybe he just does not know, or he might just be trying to scam you. He threatens to tattle on you, but later you will get a "just get me a refund" and you never see the item or your cash again type thing.
