hi i am new here and got a question ? can some one tell me what kind of table vices suction vices are the best and can you please post pics of them and where to purchase them .thank you

Personally, I use something similar to this: Vacuum Vise. If I recall correctly, I think I found it cheaper (for about $20) from a local hardware store.

Welcome to the forum. I have a standard Irwin bench vise that I use for lots of applications, but a lot of people use the suction swivel base style vise.

I hear good things about the vise in this link. It's not that expensive, suction base, it also has rubber coated jaws so you won't ruin the threading on mortise cylinders, or scratch up your locks in general.

yeah i got one from harbor freight a few weekends ago and it's pretty nice actually.

I use a pivotting and twisting michinists vise with some folded copper sheeting to protect the job/lock.
