Broke a used lock.. seeking replacement.

Postby jezuzC » 5 Sep 2011 21:44

Yes yes, I know I'm a ignorant noob. I would be silly enough to try and picklock a lock I use.
Now that it's broken or appears to be, I need to replace it.

I was just wondering if it really is broken.
1. I can still lock/unlock on the right side.
2. I can insert the key
3. I can not turn the key.
4. I was using a hairpin, and it didn't really fit. I must have jammed it in too hard or something...

If so, what's a good replacement and where would I find it. (We use padlock)

Thank you in advance for putting up with stupidity.

Sorry for double post, can't edit..

I meant to say a better replacement. One that is not easy to break, or easy to break IN. Also, it being decent priced.

Hi,

I'm gonna guess you are not in the USA because you said picklock instead of "picked a lock in use"

Where in Eastern Europe or Russia or Texas are you, and do you have a photo of the broken lock so we can give you better advice on shackle size, and a new model that would be better?

Photo upload to forum server is full, please use Photobucket or Flickr and paste URL link.

Dziekuje,
