Advance forum question?

I filled out the form to gain access to the safes forum over a month ago. I still have not heard anything and I have not been granted access. What can I do now?

Go over to the advanced forum info and read what is there.

Here is some information from there:

"If excluded, members WILL receive a PM explaining that they have been denied access to the advanced forums AT THIS TIME. They will be encouraged to apply again at a date no earlier than 60 days later. Please note that excluded applicants WILL NOT be given the reasons why they were not granted access - in other words, once this decision is made it is not open for discussion. After a period of 60 days the user is free to apply again, and will be considered once again.
"

It can take a while for the moderators to go through all the names.

I have not recieved a PM. I understand a long time but over a month? When i joined SAVTA it took 5 min over the phone.

On that same post it states that you should wait 90 days before starting to PM moderators.

Their voting depends on the number of aplicants, if they are many, they vote more often. If few, it takes more time I think.
Anyway, these things take time and you shouldn't worry with it. I placed my aplication before you did and I still haven't been granted (or denyed) access...

Meanwhile, enjoy the open foruns. I know that being a Safetech you will find more use in the advanced forum, but the rules are the rules. We can only play by them

It took a few months for me. I'm not really complaining though. The stuff in the open forums is more than enough IMO.

We vote once a month when there are enough applicants to vote on. This requires getting all the admins and mods to read over every post everyone applying has posted, talking with each other, and finding the time in their day to do this, as it is not our 9-5 job, running this site and moderating it is something we do as volunteers.

February voting spilled over into March and we are still reading over everyone's posts and applications.

Anyone applying in March will be voted on by the end of the month. This is leaps and bounds better than what was done a few years ago when you had to wait 2 to 3 months.

I will be PMing everyone (who applied) tonight with the results, next time, please email a mod or admin this type of question, thanks.
