Since tublar locks are high security locks we can't say too much about them here in the regular forums.

However I think it would be ok to say this:

That is a very odd looking tubular lock and I don't think the South Ord tubular picks would work on it.

For specific information on how to pick tubular locks I think you will have to wait till you are member of the high security forums

Probably should have asked the online seller or shown them that picture, we can only offer our best estimates and opinions.

You could have picked that lock with a wrench and a hook pick, no need for fancy tools, but they do make the job easier for someone who is not experienced.

DealExtreme.com would have sold you a 7 pin tubular pick for much cheaper. http://dx.com/p/genuine-klom-car-lock-q ... ool-134947

Squelchtone, do you know if that pick is any good? I'm thinking of buying it, but then there must be a reason why it's cheaper than its competitors?

Is that deal extreme site legit? They got great prices on stuff. Not sure if I would want them to have my credit card numer however.

Yes, they're legit. I have purchased from them before without any trouble.

I have also purchased things from them without incident. I have never bought any picks from them, so I can't say if they are knock-offs or the real deal. The Asian knock-offs are really hard to tell from whatever they are duplicating in some cases. They just don't last as long. I am speaking in generals here not specifically from my experience with this particular site. I have, however, found with most things in life, you get what you pay for. But then some places are so huge they can give great deals; could be this is the case here. I do not believe they are going to steal your personal financial data for any devious means, if that is your main concern.

I'd say they're reasonably legit in terms of posessing your card number. It's just that their customer service can be horrible.

I've ordered from them four times, and two of those four times they've shorted me on the order and not shipped everything. Getting them to correct the error is usually more time than it's been worth, they always tried to give me the runaround and wanted me to prove that I didn't receive the item. Tell me, how exactly would you go about doing that? It generally ends up in a dispute with Paypal or your CC.

A couple of items were also badly misrepresented. They'd changed the items since taking the stock photos and what I received was nowhere near what I thought I was getting and what was shown on their site.

As for quality of the items, some things were a pretty good bargain. I really got my money's worth (on the items they actually bothered to deliver). A few other items were pretty crummy, broke after very little use and weren't worth a dime.

In my opinion, buy at your own risk. You might be fine, you might not. The prices are sure low, you might just have to decide how much your time and frustration is worth.
