Would This be a Good First Pick Set? (PM7A-PS)

I'm looking for some picks that will cost me under $50 to buy and would rather have a few quality hooks to practice with than loads of rakes with garbage handles (I want to focus on spp). The best options I'm seeing are these http://www.lockpickshop.com/JP-SS.html and these http://www.lockpickshop.com/mm5/merchan ... de=PM7A-PS . I'm leaning towards the second link because it comes with two torsion wrench whereas the former does not. I'm concerned, however, that the picks may be awkwardly small and am looking for any advice or thoughts on whether or not this would likely be a good set for me. I'm considering these picks also because I'm planning on getting a lot of use out of them and don't want to feel like I have to immediately upgrade. If anyone has any experience with this specific set that would be amazing. Thanks for your time and help.

Everything I've read suggests that Peterson makes really good tools, and I've been shopping for a set for a while (but yet to pull the trigger).

I think Peterson is discontinuing the dipped handle style (May be why the set is on sale). I'd go with the plastic handle set - that way you can replace individual picks or add additional picks later.

You can even put the difference in price towards a Peterson Pry Bar

Just got a Peterson Prybar Lite, Lifter and Offset Diamond pick in the mail today. I love them!
