Schlage Lockpicking Help Needed

Postby Black Spy » 6 Jan 2014 15:42

I need help picking this Schlage lock open. I accidentally locked myself out of my own closet and can't find the key to the closet. I lost my old lock picking set (kids found it and lost it). I have tried using a paper clip and an Allan wrench. I have failed trying to pick the lock open. I have some work files in the closet I need to have for my job in there. The lock is horizontal so it feels weird picking it. I can't seem to pick it open at all. I was wondering if any of you know how to pick or any other ways to open this Schlage sideways lock? I really need to get into the closet to get my files out of my closet. Any videos would be appreciated too.
Here is a picture of the lock. Image

The same principle applies when picking a lock whether it's sideways, rightside up or upside down.

As this is a hobbyist lockpicking forum we aren't really in the habit of helping people bypass locks that are in use, when we are unable to verify if it is in fact your lock or not.
