Best Electronic Locking solution?

Hi,
I am a novice into this forum.
I have a question to the experts. Sorry, this might have been asked here earlier as well. But I could not find an appropriate answer in the earlier threads.
Now, to the question. I am looking for an electronic cylinder solution, where the requirements are as below:
1. The lock will be installed at passive locations. The power will be from battery.
2. The configurations of the keys are to be done over internet.
3. Access logs should be available from both keys and locks.

I have tried cyberlock, and have seen demo from Abloy.

Which one is better? Or could you recommend a better one?

Why have a key, why not use an Internet configured combination lock with or without prox?

I was at a church, working to clean up some of the large & very obvious holes in a prox system they had installed. I mainly work with mechanical locks and I was surprised at just how little preload you could place against a door with electronic hdwr and still have it work reliably. I found all the doors to be too loose, which I feel is just inviting to anyone seeking illegal entry into their system.

I will say placing a mag lock on an aluminum/glass door seems more secure than the standard Adams Rite hookbolt, as I have seen the hardened steel, laminated bolt cut through the jamb like soft cheese under the impetus of a large crowbar, which likely doesn't happen with the mag lock securing the door. However I would suspect that even with the mag lock, the aluminum glass door will twist enough to allow entry, which brings us back to the locking device simply "keeping honest people honest", in which case folks can save a bunch of money in their attempts to secure a door.

Try getting into an electrified A/R panic bar with the star wheel. They also make solenoid trim for Tridents, which as you know are very secure. The A/R Steelhawk when used with a latch guard with anti-spread pin is quite secure too.

Most times though a prox lock is for convenience and an audit trail. A mechanical lock cannot offer an audit trail or have 500 different users each with a unique key and maintain the same security as if only one key operated the lock. What mechanical lock can open itself at a set time and lock itself at another time?

I don't use magnets very much, most times they require tying in to the fire system and I prefer to use fail secure locks not fail safe.

I have already tried cyberlock, but wanted to find some alternatives.
Infact, their solutions suits my requirement the best. But the cost is slightly on the higher side. I found some chinese vendors which are cheap, but, cannot rely on the performance. So I am looking for a balanced solution.
Regarding the other options, these locks are to be installed on remote location telecom cabinets. So the flashy locks might attract unnecessary attention.
The Mag lock also isnt useful as these cabinets cannot provide electricity.

I am currently waiting for a demo from Abloy, but looks like that is going to be costlier than Cyberlock.
Any other low cost, high performance model?

Retail is about $280/lock (depending on form factor), plus the cost of the software, which in your case would be the Enterprise version which ships already installed on an enterprise class server (cost completely unknown, but I would imagine no less than $5-10K). Actual cost of the whole install is probably lower due to bulk discounting.

Make sure the locks are manufactured after Q4 2011, installed in metal doors or otherwise surrounded by metal, and protect access to that server above all else. Don't even expose the login page to the internet until the next software update.

EDIT: now that I think about it, the Pro version might handle 400 remote locks and would run on your own hardware, a lot cheaper than Enterprise. If you're serious, hit sales@videx.com with your questions.
