Lane Locks Australia

Postby AusBazza » 8 Aug 2014 20:12

Hi All,
Is there any Aussie on here that can refer me to a source for the Lane Pinning Chart, I have noticed
that Lane are becoming more popular in my region and would like to have the info available
to be able to repin Lane locks if required.

Also, does Lockwood make Whitco locks, as there is a bloke on Ebay selling a Lockwood Pinning kit
and it is supposed to suit Whitco as well.

Thanks All,
Bazza

Lockwood does indeed own Whitco and the pin tumblers are identical.

Lane were popular many many years ago. originally they were called Lane Astra, but Astra separated from Lane in the early 90's. Lane also were the Aussie version of Corbin products.
These days, most "imports" make their products to comply with the industry standards in respective countries. Lockwood being the industry standard in Australia.

If you use a .003 pinning kit, the pins will work in Lane cylinders. If you are looking for original lane pins or a kit....good luck

Hi globallockytoo,
Thanks for the response mate, very much appreciated.
I actually found an old lane key in my crap box and decoded it, went to kstoerz and entered the
depths, Russwin nailed it exactly. ( code was also on the key ) :)
