Ever picked with a broken hand?

Postby Forestfire1776 » 30 Nov 2014 17:03

Broke my hand on turkey day, wondered if I could still pick. Made a short video to see what would happen and to show what I did to this lock. Even though I re-pinned this American 5200 it is still to easy. I need some new locks.

so hey.. shouldn't you have a cast on that thing or something? I'd recommend taking a break from hands on picking or at least wrapping the hand or getting a cast to limit motion before you get back into picking.

how are you not in throbbing pain? get better soon man!

this seems appropriate

Thanks Squelchtone. I haven't been to the hospital but it is almost identical to the last time I had a boxer's fracture. Trying to see what kind of range of motion I have with it, work should be interesting tomorrow.

Dude... I've broken my finger and that didn't stop me. LOL Call me stubborn, but I just liked picking locks that bad. Sure it was a PITA but you can do it if you want to that bad though.

If you're working professionally, I suggest you don't because the customer will feel so bad for you that you'll just get sent home.

I severed the tendon in my right index finger... Yup, the one finger I use for just about everything. My entire hand was in a splint for a while after the surgery but after that I just used the three other fingers and it worked fine.

Sorry to hear that man. Fingers crossed it's nothing complicated and that it heals quickly!
