Nope. The tension wrench needs to grip the keyway, so polishing it would make it slip out of place easily. So leave its working end as it is. You may want to file smooth and sand down the part that you put your finger on though.
Sometimes I do the opposite of polishing the end of my tension wrenches. To help make sure they don't slip I might rough up the flat surface a little bit with a file. Or get some angled wire cutters and gently crimp them into the thin sides of the end so it dimples in a little bit like a serration.
