Gut them and take pics of the damage. It sounds like the springs are ruined. If the core spins 360, I think your lock is toast.

Before I do that, can I slap him in the head with the lock ? I have an American Series 700 up for future destruction. I want to move up a bit, and seeing this may have more of a challenge?? Is an American lock a step up or the same? I will definitely try to post pics of my damaged goods. A moment of silence would be appreciated. Thanks for any and all replies
