Take this with a grain of salt... Just trying to help out since it didn't look like you were getting any answers.
If memory serves (and it may not! LOL) I think the kitemark is just a "conformity" mark for the UK. Kinda like the UL stamp for the US, etc. It just means that the product or company meet certain standards. My guess is if you bought two of the same Yale locks, and one had the kitemark and one didn't, it was only because the one with was sold in the UK while the other was sold somewhere else. I don't believe it's any indication of rather the lock includes security pins or not.
