Reseting Master TSA007 lock

Postby suckmyglock » 28 Mar 2018 18:18

I found an old Master TSA007 lock (4688D ) but have forgotten the combination. I was able to pick it but seem to be unable to reset it when removing the "TSA" side. Is there a method other than brute forcing to reset the combo so I can set my own? Thanks

Nope. Brute forcing it is your option. It won't take long.

There are only 999 possible combinations, my Dad used to take stuff like this home and try every
combo while watching TV, he liked nothing better than getting paid while watching TV
He usually found the combo was within the first 500 numbers,
or the last 499--I have seen some combo locks slip & then the number winds up in between the
numbers on the dial but that's rare

To clarify: did you just say that on a combo lock with 999 possible combinations, the right combo is "usually" either in the first 500, or the last 499?

That seems,..... uncontroversial?

Are you sure its not 500 and 500? Don't try 000 last.

I think those once lock is open, turn 180 degrees, push down and turn, then enter new combo, swing shackle back into place. May have to experiment, pushing down while turning.

... and some require the shackle be turned 90 degrees and pushed down instead of 180 degrees.
