Opening a Cary safe

Postby Kunu » 15 Nov 2019 8:54

I have Cary safe that belonged to my Grandfather. The serial number is196675. The dial has been damaged and won’t turn. Is it possible to open this safe without destroying it?

In what way is the dial damaged? (Bent, broken off, knocked in, pulled out...). What was happening to the safe when the dial was damaged? Can we get a picture of the dial from the front, top and one of the sides? This information will help us to make suggestions.

Have now seen pics of the safe in question. It appears someone tried to enter the safe by using a hammer on the dial and dial ring, both of which are now quite mangled and heavily bent. Recommended the OP contact a professional safe opener.
