Hi,
I’m struggling with the latest high security lock from ASSA – the Neptun (very similar to the ASSA Twin Combi). It’s a six pin core in a Scandinavian oval cylinder housing. Having tried to pick this lock for some time and failed, I finally made a cutaway of the cylinder with six parallel hacksaw cuts to expose the key-, top pins and springs (sidebar and finger pins are not mounted inside in order to practice on the top pin stack only). This gave me a good view of the inside and the lock works perfectly smooth with a key. But I can’t get any of the driver pins to bind (not even a single one!). I can move the driver pin to a perfect position (using the cutaway view) but pins keep dropping.
I’ve used TOK and BOK tension, making sure that the rotation of the core is not blocked. Also tried light, medium and heavy tension.
Any idea anyone - what should I try?
