Lost locker key

Postby phodrudurbad » 24 Jan 2023 12:09

Hi everyone,

Absolute beginner here. Wife bought me a little kit for Christmas as I wanted a new hobby and we have a lock at home which we lost the key for - so lockpicking made perfect sense!

There's no rush for the lock at home but rather coincidentally, we have just discovered two lockers at work which we cannot find keys for. As you would expect, having discussed my Christmas present with a colleague, all eyes have turned to me to open them up!

Problem is, I have spent about 2 hours practicing on just one type of transparent lock at home and have no idea where to start with this one! I'm sure it's got to be easy given it is just for a locker, but any advice on how to open it up would be appreciated.

With my almost non-existent knowledge, I think I have established it is a type of cam lock? It has a code on it which I have looked up and replacement keys can be bought here: https://www.easykeys.com/Lowe-and-Fletc ... roductad=1

I'm not sure if that's enough info to go on but please let me know if there is something more specific you need in order to advise me?

Many thanks in advance for (hopefully) making me look like a badass in front of my colleagues!

Best bet in this situation is for whoever is in charge of keys at your work to buy replacement keys based on the codes.

We do not teach people how to open padlocks or cam locks used on lockers, as our replies to help your situation could be easily misused by thieves or bored teenagers looking to show off or pull pranks, or steal.

Thank you for your understanding,
Squelchtone

I am locking this thread to prevent inappropriate replies from others who sometimes forget the house rules and are over helpful to new members and internet strangers.
