Hello, I bought some locks and after practice locks i started my first real locks and besides having a better feeling and being able to set some pins, after a while i kinda am stuck. which strategy would you advice to get better? also i bought some real old locks where i don*t even know the name but they are far away from to be picked.

But if there are already mechanical issues - for example the keyway already is much more open compared to a new lock - should not be there a vulnerability? One off the oldest locks I bought actually springs open if I just apply force on all the pins and set the pressure in the right moment with the spanner.

Because with handpicking if feels actually easy to move but it kinda is a problem to be sure with pins are set.
