Picking a BKS Lock

Postby Sebastian » 26 Nov 2003 13:55

Hi people!!!

I´ve got a problem. I got my MPXS-32 Pickset today and have got a BKS 5 pin training lock. But i´m not able to open it. I would be very happy if i get some advices. I have read the MIT Guide several times and also some other manuals. My greatest problem is, that i can´t reach the last pin very good. Maybe (or sure) it lacks on my practice...

Please help me a bit...

I put some pictures here shortly...

The spool pins are not inside in my lock (i bought the beginners edition ;-))

I can´t find the pin, which binds most. Which picks should i take for this type of lock. Please help me. Thanks!!!

Which pick?

Hi Sebastian,

I also trained a lot at beginning with this 5 pins BKS lock, and I also use a SouthOrd set.

In fact, I only use a lever tensor, and a diamond pick (the large one) to open this kind of lock.
