Before my girlfriends brother moved out, i picked the lock on his safe. Got to say this must be one of the easiest locks i have ever picked.
I was fortunate that i knew the combination of the safe.
I went onto how stuff works and had a look at Safes.
There is a section on there that briefly explains how to open a safe with a combination. I tried this by reseting the safe and tried using a graph to find out the combination. A very long process and didn't get very far. If anyone has opened a safe using this process of marking the numbers on a graph i would like to know.

Why try picking a lock when u have the key? its for practice...a hobby

we dont talk about safes in the unsecure forum but theres a guide on www.crypto.com that helped me a lot (i maniped my second lock after a week!).

search around and youll find it. cant give specifics here beyond that for obviosu reasons sorry.

well we don't but they do...safe locks can be easy to pick - if they are key locks, but the more you pay the harder they get.

You probably wont manipulate the lock on this the normal way as they dont usually have a normal 3/4 wheel lock fitted to them.
There are ways of defeating these but probably should be on the secure forum

And to answer your question, lots of folks do this every day. They make their living at it. They are called locksmiths and safe techs.
