I own some standard and Euro picks from SouthOrd. I can tell you that the only difference between them is the width of the neck. The pick heads are nearly identical, but the Euro's neck is much thinner, and making it easier to move up and down in a tight keyway. I live in the US and I prefer using the Euro picks to the standard ones. In addition, look into getting the Slim Line - Slight Hook Pick SLS-09. It is easier to pick with this one than the short hook; it takes up less room in the lock and is easier to target individual pins.
