Masterlock HEX

Postby Zeppelin147 » 12 Jan 2005 18:38

Hi, im new to lockpicking, and have been practicing on various Squire and Masterlock padlocks with success, but i have now come accross a Masterlock which i cant pick. The packaging doesnt give a series name, but does say "Superior HEX", and i think the number is 17G0D, althopugh i cant be sure as there is a rip right through it from when i opened it.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers.

eh, not famaliar with it at all. but if it didn't mention anything about 'high security' I'd rule out security pins. try using a larger half diamond or a deeper hook, the pin depths might be alternating shallow/deep, those are a real pain sometimes.
Anyone who becomes master of a city accustomed to freedom and does not destroy it may expect to be destroyed by it; for such a city may always justify rebellion in the name of liberty and its ancient institutions. -Niccolo Machiavelli
