If it's for a profit, yes. The quote previously provided was under the distribution guidelines of the document, so while that portion may only directly imply reproduction, any links exchanged for money would be considered profitable distribution (and a violation of the copyright)

Hmm... I'm not sure there would be any copyright infringement if there was only a link exchanged for money. You could argue that the cost was a form of 'finders fee'. If copyright protection extended to any form of indexing, bibliography or search result then there are plenty of books and search engines available that would have to pay up significant amounts of money. If Google were a subscription based search engine would they necessarily have to pay every site they indexed? I doubt it.

does any one have that link/s??? i am new and would just like to learn some of the basics of the way that a lock/picks work before i commit to buying anything. so if any one knows the links i would apreciate it... i wont sell it for a profit..

I did a search on google for MIT guide to lockpicking and downloaded the PDF file for it. FREE of charge and didn't have to deal with ebay or paypal.
