La Gard 3330 cutaway.

Having played with some combination locks, and had some fun with them, then i read the Matt Blaze article , there was only one thing i could do!

Go get a cutaway of a "proper" lock.

I have ordered the "La Gard 3330" cutaway, should have it in the next few days or so :-)

I have, as noted the Matt Blaze tut which seems pretty comprehensive, however i am sure i will have some questions related to this before long.

Can i ask them here ?

I know there is a "restriction" , and i can see why, on asking questions that relate to safe's , and i don't want to cross that boundary , and get myself into trouble on what is one of my favourite sites.

So any advice would be great , if i had a question , would it be smart to send it in a private message to a mod to see if it's OK to post first?

Or is that a waste of time as any question is doomed to be rejected?

Thanks for any usefull advice that will keep me on the right side of the mods :-)

You stared off with a question about the practice see through locks, then you go to safes? Im confused. But for the practice locks, I suggest you take out all the pins and leave in 1 if you can, then work your way up. Also put some black electric tape over the see through part, so you dont relie on sight to open a lock.

The La Gard 3330 is a safe combination lock.
The one i ordered is a cutaway, and mounted on a stand, it's NOT a pin and tumbler lock.

Thanks !
