Impressioning handles?

Postby ufd538 » 27 Mar 2005 0:06

Anyone have experience with any of the different impressioning handles? I have always just used good ol' vise grips, and am wondering if anyone has experience with both, and whether there are any advantages to the handles.

The basic requirements for holding onto the key seem to be:

1) completely immoveable rock solid grip.
2) something that is hand-held (not a bench vise)

The thing that best fits that description is vise-grips. Actually that's pretty much the only thing. they pretty much cornered the market with their design.

I know you what you are saying, but does anyone use any of the handles that hold the key, instead of vise grips, by such manufacturers as hpc, framon, or pro-lok? I mean I can't imagine that they could really be better than vise grips, but I was just curious if anyone had experience with these?
