help with masterlock

Postby lockpickingnewb » 3 Apr 2005 17:06

I just bought a masterlock no. 1 padlock and the key hole looks so small that a tension wrench would block the whole thing. I haven't gotten my picks yet so it may be that the wrench that I get will be small enough- i don't know what the standard tension wrench size is. so will it be small enough or do I need to make a special wrench?

You may find that somtimes you dont have the tools for the job and have to make some, just make a smaller tension wrench, try using the steel strip from a windscreen (windsheild) wiper and you wont be far off, try searching for zeke's site and you may well find some pics with rulers next to them.

If you ordered one of the typical SouthOrd sets you should get a couple different wrenches of varying size. The smallest one works pretty well in small padlock keyways.

Happy picking!
