The individual locks on the mailboxes are very easy locks to pick. Try asking your neighbors to borrow their keys and use them as a bump key (just stick it in quickly and turn). When I first moved into my apartment, the mailboxes weren't labeled and it turned out my key worked this way in about half the boxes. i already have a key that opens one of them. i went around and tried to get it to open other boxes, but none would open. it looks like a 5 wafer lock. and since i have a key, i can get good measurements about where the wafers are and how far they need to be pushed up. any way the key i have can be used in combination with something else to help open more locks? i have made some of my own picks to try and open these locks, but i have not been successful yet. i bought a very similar lock from home depot and i was able to open that one pretty easily with the picks i made, but i cannot seem to get the mailbox locks to open. thanks for any insight. i can post some pics if that will help...
