start w/ the mit guide [look in the FAQs/general info area], and you may be interested in constructing your own pics (also look in the faqs/general area.)

I'de say your moving in the right direction by joining this forum. Read through the archives, read the MIT guide, and practice. Start with easy locks, like master #3's.

No no, in the FAQ section you will find a link to "The MIT Guide to Lockpicking". You might also try googling for it. There are many mirrors for it. There's even a thread here that links to at least 6 or 7 instances of it.

Hope this helps, and happy picking!

if you're searching for it, look for something like MIT AND guide, by coincidence, my initials spell MiT as well, theres a small "i" in the middle to try to avoide confusion, but you might find loads of posts about me!

anyway, looks like you're in the right place, welcome to lockpicking, i hope you enjoy it! :D
may i suggest searching for threads with words like "parents" in then and "how to tell parents", theres been a few threads discussing whether people should tell their parents that they are interested in lock picking, it is usually advisable to tell them though! :D

good luck, i hope you have a good time picking and progress well! :D
