Southord MPXS-20. UK or USA?

Postby The Dude » 8 Apr 2005 18:30

Hi all. I have just received my first lock pick set. I bought the Southord MPSX-20. I have never picked a lock before and when i get the set i had a go at my front door lock with no success of course.
The picks seemed a little big in the keyhole, especially when the tension wrench was also in the whole. I'm now wondering if the MPSX-20 is designed for standard UK locks. So thats my question. Is the MPXS-20 designed to work with standard UK locks? Or have i just wasted £44 on the wrong set? Cheers guys

MPXS sets are standard picks, not slimline, so no, they're not the set of picks designed for European locks. If you want to try it, you can get a file and try slimming them down a bit.

start with the majestic pick set it comes with 9 picks 1 extractor and 3 tension tools.. even with all of this you will probably only use the half diamond, the saw rake, the key extractor for tension , maybe 2 of the tension tools and possibley the cuved feeler pick but that takes practice. sks in berkhamstead sell them for £13.50 +vat but you do need an acount. unless your in the area and then you'll have to blag the sales staff. look in the loot.com under picks you might find someone selling them at a price...good luck
